Mary-Ann has been wonderfully patient in her approach to piano lesson with our 6 year old son, Caleb. For the past 2 years she has encouraged his enthusiasm for creating his own music whilst providing him with a solid grounding for technique and musicality. Mary-Ann is very flexible with lesson structure and tailored each lesson to suit our son’s needs and interests. We are very grateful to Mary-Ann for providing an excellent beginning for Caleb’s musical journey.

Zoe has had a great learning experience with Mary-Ann over the last 18 months. Mary-Ann’s approach is gentle and supportive while challenging Zoe to branch out and advance musically and in her understanding of piano as an instrument. The frequent introduction of new pieces at both easier and harder levels of difficulty has allowed Zoe to build up a repertoire of pieces to play and she often can’t resist sitting down and playing at home if she happens to be walking past the piano! Mary-Ann ‘s end of year concert was a highlight with the students getting to know each other socially and performing together.

My six year old daughter started learning piano with Mary-Ann a few months ago. She is really enjoying piano and has progressed very well in a short period of time. I think that the program Mary-Ann teaches is brilliant and engaging for young children. It also involves fun, educational and creative activities such as singing, tapping, clapping beats, exploring other instruments. We are both very disappointed that she is moving to the country. I would highly recommend Mary-Ann as a piano teacher, especially for the young beginner.

My son has been learning piano from Mary-Ann since he was 5 years and it has been three wonderful years of musical journey. Mary-Ann is a caring teacher who is very sensitive to needs of every child and even specialises in teaching kids with Autism like my son.
