I am passionate about enabling my students to explore their musical potential – to play expressively, develop their technique and deepen their understanding of music. As musical understanding and confidence grows, so too, does their ability to learn new music and experience the exquisite delight of playing music that really hits their sweet spot!

I am holistic in my approach to teaching the piano, integrating: singing, listening, sight reading, theory, body awareness, movement and various apps that enhance music learning. With younger children, I love to share music related stories by reading aloud to/with  them,  inspiring and exciting them to explore the amazing world of music, rhythm, sound, silence and creativity.

I enjoy teaching children, teens and adults and I am also very happy to teach very young beginners ( from 4 years of age) if they are drawn to music and genuinely curious about the piano.  I  provide opportunities for students to share their music by playing for others at student concerts, piano parties or soirees.

I love to engage students in reflective thinking and problem solving so they may develop greater insight into how they learn, practice and play.

“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.”
